The company

• One of the world’s largest maritime service providers. It has service locations in 2,200 ports in over 116 countries. It comprises of four business segments Ship service, Ship Management, Ship Equipment and Marine engineering

The role

The role is a typical business developer and sales job. The position will require you to have an existing network of owners and operators and knowledge of ship-management and operations is essential. As a person you like to get your ‘’feet wet’’ and go out to get new customers. You like to meet people and are good at presenting a service which can be tailor-made to fit the particular customer. The role will require some travelling and will have a focus on servicing your customers. The main work area for this position will be the EMEA and USA region

The person

As a person you have a solid background from shipping. A minimum 7 to 10 years experience will be necessary. You could both have some sea-going and shore-based experience, but with a proven record in sales. You will already have a strong network within the shipping community in Europe and US and understand the way this business operates. You will be marketing a suite of services and a B2B sales background will be a huge advantage.
