Our client is one of the world leading fully integrated Gas shipping companies in the world. They are operating worldwide with a fleet of about 20 vessels including New Buildings. The company has their offices in Scandinavia, China, Russia, USA, Singapore and in the Middle East.
Our client is known for their innovative and advanced technology both on board and ashore which in turn ensures a top performance towards their customers. The company is looking upon themselves as a service provider being a part of the client’s logistic chain
The role
The most important asset, apart from the steel is the people and the aspect around safety and the environmental issues. In order to strengthen this very important aspect of their business they need an Environmental manager who can continue to implement ISO 14001:2008 to see to that the overall objectives for the group is met. The role will command a person with several years of similar experience and has a passion for these issues.
The person
As a person you are passionate about the global environmental challenges and issues and have some knowledge about shipping or the oil and gas industry. You will, if not already familiar with shipping, be required to learn this industry inside out and take on the various tasks required to fulfill the ambitious goals set by our client. Implementing ISO standards is something you are familiar with and if you have already been involved in ISO 14001 standards then you know what is required and hence this is an advantage, but not a must.
